Thorstein Bunde Veblen was an American sociologist and economist, whose work covers anthropology, sociology and psychology.
In his sociological theory, his thoughts about "typical ways of thinking" and civilization, in general, can be found. This theory suggests that all communities are organized by goods, tangible and intangible, symbolic and material. However, he considers it an unequal distribution and implies power. Each order is affected or affects the other when Status groups constitute the social order while the classes make up the economic order and parties the political order.
