1.

c.) What percentage of sales were with pizza?

If you look at the row(from left to right) for pizza, the total is 182. To find the percentage, divide 182 by 400 (which is the total amount of sales)

[tex]\frac{182}{400}=0.445[/tex]

0.445 × 100 = 45.5%

2. So when I'm answering these questions, I'm not using the graph, i'm just using the equation. Idk if that's right or wrong.

Slope-intercept form:

y = mx + b

"m" is the slope, "b" is the y-intercept (the y value when x = 0) or (0, y)

Paul uses the function y = 8x + 40 to model the situation.

a.) The slope is 8

b.) The y-intercept is 40

c.) What score does the model predict for 3 hours of homework?

x = the number of hours of homework

y = Test scores

y = 8x + 40  You need to find "y". Since your number of hours is 3, x = 3, so you can plug in 3 for "x" in the equation.

y = 8(3) + 40    Multiply 8 by 3

y = 24 + 40

y = 64     The score will be 64

d.) The y-intercept is 40, or (0,40). This means that the hours of homework(x) is 0, and the Test Scores(y) is 40.

The y-intercept means that the initial test scores is 40 before/when there are 0 hours of homework. (idk how to explain, sorry)
