Look at the photosynthesis reaction 6H2O + 6CO2 -➔ C6H12O6 + 6O2. What do you think might be other factors that can affect the rate of this reaction?

Photosynthesis is the process of converting light energy to chemical energy and storing it in the bonds of sugar (Encyclopedia Britannica, 2014). The process requires sunlight, carbon dioxide and water; while the eventual products are oxygen, glucose and ATP. The chemical equation is 6CO2 + 6H2O (+ light energy) C6H12O6 + 6O2 + Energy (BBC, 2014). This process can only be done by plants and takes place in the chloroplast of a plant cell. Photosynthesis is essentially the reversal of cellular respiration, and provides the life sustaining organic substances that our bodies need to survive. The rate of photosynthesis is simply how long it takes for a cell to go through the process of creating the products of the reaction.

I hope this helps you! :)

Factors that influence the reaction rates of chemical reactions include the concentration of reactants, temperature, the physical state of reactants and their dispersion, the solvent, and the presence of a catalyst.

6H2O + 6CO2 -➔ C6H12O6 + 6O2 is the balanced equation that represents the law because the law states that an chemical equation can't destroy or create mass. The chemical reaction that occurred was double displacement because two different molecules switched places.
