Most likely the Reformation where new Christian religions
sprang up due to the abuses of the Catholic Church. Among these were Lutheran, Calvinist, Presbyterian,
Anglican to name a few. They had their
interpretation of the Bible and God’s teachings of salvation. The Catholic Church countered with the
CounterReformation.
