PLEASE help I am almost done with this
Write (4x + 3)2 in expanded form using the polynomial identity (x + y)2 = x2 + 2xy + y2.

A.) (4x + 3)2 = (4x)2 + 2(x)(3) + (3)2 = 16x2 + 6x + 4
B.)(4x + 3)2 = (4x)2 + 2(4x)(3) + (3)2 = 16x2 + 24x + 9
C.) (4x + 3)2 = (4x)2 + (4x)(3) + (3)2 = 16x2 + 12x + 9
D.) (4x + 3)2 = (16x2 + 9)

Hello from MrBillDoesMath!

Answer:  B

Remark:   It is customary to use x^2,  not x2, to indicate the square of x.

Discussion:

(4x + 3) ^ 2=   ( 4x)^2 + 2 * (4x)(3) + 3^2 =

                       16 x^2 + 24x  + 9

Thank you,

MrB
