PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Read the poem below and answer the question that follows.

"Because I could not stop for Death" by Emily Dickinson Because I could not stop for Death – He kindly stopped for me – The Carriage held but just Ourselves – And Immortality. We slowly drove – He knew no haste And I had put away My labor and my leisure too, For His Civility – We passed the School, where Children strove At Recess – in the Ring – We passed the Fields of Gazing Grain – We passed the Setting Sun – Or rather – He passed us – The Dews drew quivering and chill – For only Gossamer, my Gown – My Tippet – only Tulle – We paused before a House that seemed A Swelling of the Ground – The Roof was scarcely visible – The Cornice – in the Ground – Since then – 'tis Centuries – and yet Feels shorter than the Day I first surmised the Horses' Heads Were toward Eternity –

How would a formal interpretation be different from an ethical interpretation of this poem? Give specific examples of how you would analyze this poem either from a formal or ethical point of view.

Respuesta :

A formal interpretation of this poem would be different from an ethical interpretation, in that, formal would focus less on the philosophy and emotion and more on the fact. From a formal point of view, the analysis or facts of this poem would be that the speaker has died and is being taken to a place to rest as a spirit.

Answer:

A formal interpretation explains what the poem means and how we can interpret it. An ethical interpretation would focus more on the ethical measures of the poems.

Explanation:

The poem focuses on death of course. We can see how she writes that she couldn't stop death from taking her so death came for her. Apparently, it came in a nice way since they were able to see all the good in life that there is or was in life. It was a nice and calm death.
