Legislative: The house, and the Senate.
1. Makes the Laws
2. Can declare war.
Executive Branch:
1. Veto any Bill
2. Carries out the Bills
Judicial Branch:
Interprets the law.
Deals with Courts, mostly things with the police and etc.
The U.S. Constitution establishes three branches of government with specific functions to properly lead the nation, the branches are the following:
- The Legislative Branch, consisting of a bicameral Congress (The Senate and the House of Representatives) and whose main responsibility is to make legislation. Some other of its powers include to borrow on the credit of a nation, to coin money, to provide and maintain a navy, to declare war and to regulate commerce with foreign nations.
- The Executive Branch that consists of a President, Vice President, Cabinet, and most federal agencies has as main responsibility to enforce the laws enacted by Congress, and some of its powers are to act as commander in chief of the Army and Navy of the U.S. and of the militia of the several states and to fill up all vacancies that may happen during the recess of the Senate.
- The Judicial Branch that consists of one Supreme Court, whose judges are appointed for life unless they resign due to bad behavior, has the power and the responsibility to interpret the laws, decide on certain cases and to determine whether actions from the Executive and the Legislative are unconstitutional or not.
