According to the theory of the Stages of Psychological Development created by Erikson, Marie is currently in the 6th stage of Psychological Development: "Care". In this stage, the generativity of a human being confronts an eventual stagnation of him or her.
Marie is effectively going through this stage, as she feels a sense of accomplishment in the activities she is involved. She is convinced that her job will contribute to the overall welfare of society by giving the best financial advise possible to her clients.
