Hydrology
Hydrology is the scientific study of the distribution, movement and quality of water on Earth and other planets. Hydrology studies the properties, distribution and effects of water on a planet’s surface, in the soil and underlying rocks, and in the atmosphere. Hydrology is subdivided into fields such as marine hydrology, surface water hydrology and groundwater hydrology.
