What structure makes plant cells less flexible than animal cells?

Plant cells are much less flexible than animal cells.

The presence of cell wall in plant cells makes them less flexible than animal cells.

• The cells of plants possess cell walls around them, and the cells of animals do not have cell walls.

• The cell walls gives plants their boxy shapes, and provides them with less flexibility.

• The animals cells due to devoid of cell walls can attain different shapes, however, plant cells only can take the shape of their cell walls.

• This provides plants with the tendency to grow up and out, and the flexibility of animal cells helps them to attain the tendency to find food, but they do not grow as tall and big as plants.

Thus, it is the cell wall in plant cells that gives them less flexibility in comparison to animal cells.
