option C: The Silk Road trading route increased trade.

In 202 B.C. the Han dynasty established one of the most successful and peaceful periods in the Chinese history. It allowed the Chinese people to prosper in peace since life was more harmonious than during the Warring States period (403-221 B.C.E.) . Besides, China began to increase the use of the trade route known as the Silk Road and to commercialize goods with the far west. China started to export ceramic, iron, furs, silk, spices, jade, and bronze objects while Chinese traders imported tapestries, wool, ivory, glass, exotic fruits, wild animals, precious metal and stones.
