there were several reasons due to which the Battle of Midway is considered the turning point of the war in the Pacific. The first reason being that this was the first major victory that the United States had over Japan. Secondly this war occurred midway in the Pacific and this helped United states gain control over the transport routes and thereby choking the Japanese.
