Gunpowder technology affected politics in the Ottoman Empire because it gained a wide advantage in military pursuits that were mostly successful whenever they were at war. There were a lot of available lands that they could use this power and they used it to their advantage to monopolize a lot of movements in the Ottoman Empire.
