Lee is makeing chocalate chips cookies and the recipe calls for 3/4 cups of chocolate chips. If she wants to make 2/3 of the recipe, what fraction of a cup of chocolate chips will she need?Explain

Respuesta :

What you have to do here is to get the common denominator, so what you can naturally do is multiply the first fraction by the others denominator. So in this case it would be 3/4 times 3/3 and now you have 9/12, then 2/3 times 4/4 and now you have 8/12. So now you have the same denominators which would give you the answer of 8/12 because 8/12 is the 2/3 of the 3/4 cup of chocolate chips.
