Basically, you're going to "combine terms."
Whatever had a t with it, you combine them.
Whatever has no t, combine.
Do NOT combine t terms and non-t terms!
3t -2 + t - 5t = -1
3t + t - 5t = 2 - 1
4t - 5t = 1
-1t = 1
t = -1
Note: t is fine. You don't need to write 1t. :)
