Since it is in Group 4 it will have 4 valence electrons. When you draw the Lewis structure for Silicon you'll put four "dots" or valance electrons around the element symbol (Si).
Put 4 dots around the Si . One on the top, the left side, the right side, and the bottom. Because it has 4 valence electrons
