ils/elles comprennent Isabelle et Daniel = ils (feminine + masculine = ils)
"comprendre" is the same as "prendre" ( + apprendre, entreprendre....)
if you know the conjugation of "prendre", then you know how to conjugate those with 'prendre at the end.
double 'n' at the 3rd person. plur. and drop the d at the 3 pers. plural

tu prends
il/elle/on prend
nous prenons
vous prenez
ils/elles prennent
