   14x+2=10x+16

   14x-10x=16-2

   4x=14

   x=14/4=7/2.

b)20x+12-7=12x+15

   20x-12x=15-5

  8x=10

  x=10/8

  x=5/8.

c) 21x-7+3=60-3x

   21x-4=60-3x

   21x+3x=60+4

  24x=64

  x=64/24=8/3.

d) 96+8x=x+112-7x

   96+8x=-6x+112

  8x+6x=112-96

  14x=16
