1- Silent --- 1930-1945
Silent generation is the term used to refer to people born between the 1920s and the 1940s. In the United States this generation was comparatively small due to the severe economic crisis of the 1930s and the war in the early 1940s .
2- Boomers --- 1946-1955
Baby boomer is a term used to describe people who were born during the baby boom, in the period after World War II, between 1946 and 1964.
3- Jones --- 1956-1965
The term Generation Jones is sometimes used to distinguish those who were born after 1957, from the first baby boomers.
4- Gen X --- 1966-1980
The term Generation X is used to refer to people born after the Baby Boom Generation. Although there is no universal range with exact dates, the term usually includes people born in the 60s and until the late 70s or mid 80s.
5- MTV --- 1978-1987
-This term refers to the young adults between mid 1980s and mid 1990s.
6- Gen Y --- 1988-1996
Generation Y, also known as Millennial Generation, is the demographic cohort that follows generation X and precedes generation Z. There is no precision or consensus regarding the start and end dates of this generation; demographers and researchers often include in it people born from mid-1980s to mid-1990s.
