Because British Imperialism basically controlled the entirety of African economy, people began to realize that their current state of life wasn't modernized nor fair, not to mention the British forced the English language as their national primary language. Eventually this lead to the African nations uniting, pushing aside their differences to overcome the British and build their own foundation.
