(2x+3) ^2 −6x−9=0

(2x+3) (2x+3) −6x−9=0

Foil

4x^2 +6x+6x+9-6x-9=0

4x^2 +12x+9-6x-9=0

Combine like terms

4x^2 +6x=0

factor out 2x

2x(2x+3)=0

2x=0  2x+3=0

x=0       2x=-3

              x=-3/2

Answer x=-3/2, 0
