Close to his beginning with Ford Motor Co, Henry Ford ironically struggle with Monopolist. He went through different difficulties, one of the most significant one is related to the legal fight with the Association of Licensed Automobile Manufacturers (ALAM), which refused to release a licensing patent for the internal combustion engine powered by gasoline for the sole purpose of propelling a car. This led an extended lawsuit which Ford won. Unlike other real monopolist, such as J.P. Morgan, Ford did not think like a monopolist, basically, because he was almost the victim of a monopolist as it was demonstrated before. He also acted the opposite, by raising workers' wages, lowered car prices and kept his initial dream of making cars for the masses like the  Falcon, Taurus, Lincoln at a fairly accessible price.  These are some of the reasons Ford was different than other monopolist at the time.
