Explain why a percent markup of more than 100% reasonable to consider but a percent discount of more than 100 % is not responsible

If it is within 100% (more than or equal to) its reasonable because the company will make more money. If it is 100 %  or more disounted they will not make money, as a matter of fact if it was negative the company would owe you money, hope this helps.
