Health advocates advise that men drink about 13 cups of water daily and women drink about 9 cups daily—with adjustments for activity level. However, they strongly advise against drinking salt water. Based on what you have learned about passive transport, explain why they recommend this.

Respuesta :

Passive transport is when substances will flow from high to low concentration.  Salt water has a higher concentration than the fluids inside a human.  Therefore, drinking salt water would cause fluids to leave human cells to achieve equilibrium.  As a result, salt water will actually make a person thirstier.

Hope this helps!
