Here, this is what I meant: [tex]x^ 1[/tex]
So, now your equation looks like this: [tex]x^4(x^1[/tex] [tex]-2)[/tex]
Add the exponents: [tex]4 + 1[/tex] [tex]= 5[/tex]
Therefore your answer should be: [tex]x^5 - 2[/tex]
