Two cars start at the same point and travel in opposite directions. The first car travels 10 miles per hour faster than the second car. In 3 hours, the cars are 270 miles apart. What is the rate of the second car?
It is A because if you subtract 30 from 270( to subtract the ten miles faster car to make it even)then the you get 240 divide 240/2 you get 120 divide that by 3 to get 40 which is the rate of the second car!!!
