So I am about half way done with this chemistry question. Could someone help me finish it!
After a good workout, athletes like to wash off the excess oils and sweaty grime from their skin with soap and water.

i. Would the oils and sweat make a homogeneous mixture or a heterogeneous mixture? Explain your answer. (1 point)

Heterogeneous because they wouldn’t be evenly mixed.

ii. Describe the function of the soap. Be specific in your answer. (2 points)

The function of the soap is to help wash off the oils. Because oil is hydrophobic, and soap is made of molecules that are both hydrophobic and hydrophilic, the soap molecules can connect to both oil and water. When the soap is combined with water and oil, it causes the oil to form small drops that can easily be washed off.

I hope I could help!
