Respuesta :

Matt could do one of the following arrangements;

2 rows of 8 CDs

4 rows of 4 CDs

  • Matt has 16 CDs.

  • Arrangement of the CD's so that they can have equal rows, we would have to find the factors of 16.

  • Factors of 16 are: 1, 2, 4, 8 and 16

  • This means:

       8 x 2 = 16

      4 x 4 = 16

Hence,

  • 1st Way: Matt can arrange his CDs in 8 rows and he will have 2 CDs in each row.

  • 2nd Way: Matt can arrange his CDs in 4 rows and he will have 4 CDs in each row.

Therefore, the number of ways can he arrange the CDs so they are in equal rows is 2 ways
