Latitud (latitud in Spanish) is the measurement to the north or south of the Earth's equator. In other words, it tells you how many degrees you have to go down or up (te indica cuantos grados tienes que ir arriba o abajo).
Longitute (longitud in Spanish) is the angular measurement east or west of the meridian at Grenwich, England. It tells you how many degrees you have to go to the left or to the right (te indica los grados a la derecha o izquierda).
60° N, 40° E = Russia, Europe
20° N, 40° E = Arabian Sea, Asia
30° S, 20° E = South Africa, Africa
