Honestly lifting a light barbell would be too east, I mean it's a good way to start off.Lifting a heavy barbell once wouldn't do anything good, it's just once.Completing one full push-ups wouldn't be good either one isn't enough.Completing one set of push-ups would be the best answer because, it's not just one push up it's multiple.
