I think this is what it's asking for..I could be wrong though

y = - [tex]\frac{3}{7}[/tex] x + [tex]\frac{27}{7}[/tex]

the equation of a line in ' slope- intercept form ' is

y = mx + c ( m is the slope and c the y-intercept )

here m = - [tex]\frac{3}{7}[/tex]

partial equation is y = -[tex]\frac{3}{7}[/tex] x + c

To find c substitute ( - 5, 6 ) into the partial equation

6 = [tex]\frac{15}{7}[/tex] + c ⇒ c = [tex]\frac{42}{7}[/tex] - [tex]\frac{15}{7}[/tex] = [tex]\frac{27}{7}[/tex]

y = - [tex]\frac{3}{7}[/tex] + [tex]\frac{27}{7}[/tex] ( in slope - intercept form )
