An organism that is made up of only one cell is known as unicellular. There are many different kinds of unicellular organisms. They are microscopic, and you need a microscope to see them.

Some unicellular organisms are: amoeba, algae, euglena, cyclops, malaria parasite, plankton, protozoa, sporozoa and heliozoa.

Unicellular is the name given to organisms that are composed by only one cell, which are aften reffered to as single-celled organisms.

Examples of unicelular organisms include:

- Bacteria

- Some fungi

- Most protists
