What is a habitat?

A habitat is defined to a place where an organism form its home. A habitat meets all the environmental requirements an organism needs to survive. For an animal, which means everything it requires to find and collect food, select a partner, and successfully reproduce.

Tundra habitats are treeless regions found in the Arctic and on the tops of mountains, where the climate is very cold and windy, and rainfall is very less. Tundra are  generally covered with snow for throughout the year, but summer brings bursts of wildflowers. Animals which live here include polar bears, caribou,  snowy owls, gray wolves, and arctic hare.
