If you have a block of wood that is 4cm wide ,6cm long and 10cm high and it weighs 100 grams what would happen to the volume if yhe wood block is cut into 2 equal halfs

Respuesta :

It would make both half 4cm to 2cm wide, and 6cm to 3cm long, 10cm to 5cm hight it would split in half

It doesn't matter whether you cut the length, the width, or the height, straight, slanted, or curly-cue.  You've still got 240 cm^3 of total volume there, and if the two pieces are equal, then the volume of each piece is 120cm^3, and the mass of each piece is 50 grams, and they both float in water.
