The Rocky Mountains is famous in the world due to wind energy resources, solar energy resources and geothermal energy resources. In addition to that, there is availability of hydropower. However, the current non-renewable energy resource is coal that generates electricity.
The Great plains contain three nonrenewable resources which include; rich oil ,coal and gas. Due to its harsh climatic conditions, the plains experience a lot of droughts and high wind speed that can result to devastating dust storms.
