The correct answer is corruption among clergy.

Erasmus of Rotterdam ( 1466-1536), was a Dutch Christian humanist. He was the greatest scholar of northern Renaissance.

He was critical of the abuses within the Catholic Church. He thought that the Church's leaders were abusing their power, he accused Pope Julius II of corruption. He stated that priest were greedy and they insulted Christianity by their actions. According to Erasmus, the corrupt clergy reduced religious ceremonies to pure habits and emphasized complicated dogma with excess rituals. He feared the ceremonies outweighted the meanings in the Catholic Church. He advocated the return to simplicity in the Church and wished for a priestum free of lust, greed and power struggles.
