Japan is made up of a chain of islands that strech from north to south in the North pacific ocean.It are approximately 3000 islands in Japan with the four big ones namely;Honshu, Kyushu,shikoku and Hokkaido.These islands are mountain tops that have risen from the ocean floor through vocanic activities.These islands are located at a point where the earth shift thus many earthquake activities happen in this region.The sea that surrounds the island is the primary way for people to travel in the Island.
