Air: Air is made up of several gases, but the two most important gases are Oxygen and Carbon dioxide. Without oxygen, animals will die, and without carbon dioxide, plants cannot survive. Food (nutrients): Living things need energy for function. Energy is needed to grow, reproduce, move, and to work.

The answer is growth

All living organisms require five basic needs for their growth and survival. These basic needs are sunlight ( for photosynthesis and for keeping earth temperature suitable for living), water ( necessary for metabolic activities), Air ( breathing, respiration), habitat (dwelling place for their safety) and food ( for energy requirement).

Thus, all organisms require basic needs for their growth and survival.
