2 amino acids are linked to each other by a peptide linkage. A peptide linkage is formed when carboxyl group of one amino acid combine with the amine group of the other and during this process, a water molecule is removed.

The given tripeptide will have 2 peptide bonds. To draw the structure of given tripeptide, we will arrange them in the given order and then we will remove 2 water molecules to form 2 peptide bonds.

Further Explanation:

Amino acids are the organic compounds having an amine [tex]\left( {{\text{ - N}}{{\text{H}}_{\text{2}}}} \right)[/tex] and a carboxyl [tex]\left( {{\text{ - COOH}}} \right)[/tex] functional group and also a side chain that is different for each amino acid. These involve carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, and oxygen atoms in them. Amino acids are used to make proteins and polypeptides, in lipid transport, as additives in animal feed, components of biodegradable polymers, chiral catalysts and have many industrial applications.

Two amino acids can be linked with each other via peptide bonds. A peptide bond is formed when the carboxyl group of one amino acid reacts with the amine group of another amino acid. Water molecule is removed in this process so it is also known as dehydration synthesis or a condensation reaction.

Amino acids are written in the abbreviated form either in terms of 1-letter or 3-letters. For example, leucine can be abbreviated as leu or L, proline is abbreviated as pro or P and glycine is abbreviated as gly or G. The OH group of leucine interacts with the hydrogen atom of proline and water is removed, resulting in the formation of a peptide bond. Similarly, the OH group of proline interacts with the hydrogen atom of glycine and a peptide bond is formed between the two with the removal of water. (For structure, refer to the attached image).
