Ok so to measure how many feet of fencing you need you have to duplicate 9 and 7, because a rectangle has 4 sides, 2 of each value (9 or 7). 9*2=18 and 7*2=14. (18 + 14=32) You need 32 feet of fencing to close in the garden. Now the square feet are calculated multiplying length with width. 9*7=63 so you need 63 square feet of soil to cover the garden.
