Scientists measured a Madeira cockroach and found it to be 3.44 centimeters long. Toby says that the Madeira is shorter than the oriental because 3.432. Is he correct? Explain.
No, Toby is not correct. That 3.432 cm measurement may have more decimal places than does 3.44 cm, but is nevertheless smaller than 3.44. Try comparing 3.440 with 3.432; clearly, 3.432 is the smaller.
