Greece was a collection of city states which has own personality, goals, customs, laws and government. Athens, Sparta, Corinth, Megara and Argos were among the greatest city states of Greece.
During the Persian War, the Greeks united. The Athenians’ incredible navy and the Spartans’ fierce army led the Greek force. The Persians attacked three times. The final time, the Athenians fought and burned the Persian ships. The Persian survivors were met with the Spartans on shore.
Though greatly outnumbered, the united Greeks won against the Persians.
