[tex]\frac{70}{-3.5}[/tex]

When using the long division,

First step:

Take the first digit in 70 which is 7

divide it by -3.5 (which is a single digit)

the answer is -2

Second step:

Take the second digit of 70 which is zero and divide it by -3.5.

Since it is impossible, You add a zero to the 2 up there and the answer is

-20.
