-3/10= -0.3

They are both the same amount. 3 tenths and 3 tenths!

Example:

2/100= 0.02 so 2/100 and 0.02 are equal! It is all about the denominator and where the decimal point will go: 10= 0.1 100= 0.01 and 1000= 0.001
