Samuel Gompers was a leading proponent of labor movement which includes:
1) Collective Bargaining
2) Negotiating with owners for better working conditions
3) Strong believer in doing Strikes.
Because of his beliefs, he founded the American Federation of Labor (AFL) in 1886.
