School should start later because there have been many scientific studies proving that students will be more alert and pay more attention later in the day. Students will also be able to retain more knowledge later in the day as well. If school started later it wouldn't even have to be that much different, say school starts at 8 in the morning, it would help if it was even pushed back just 2-3 hours.
