Theory of Divine Right: This theory claims that God created the state, and He gave the right to govern to some specific people. Ex. European monarchies in the Middle Ages.
Evolutionary Theory: Argues that the state develop from primitive families. As the families grew, the organizations turned into clans, and then into tribes. Ex. some Native American clans.
Force Theory: One individual or a group of individual exert force over another group, imposing their rule. Ex. wars of conquest.
Social Contract: It argues that the community has a contract with the government, in which they will give uo some of their liberties in exchange for protection or the preservation of the common good. Ex. Rousseau’s political philosophy.
