The name of the country is Switzerland, and the capital is Bern. Switzerland was founded in 1291 by three cantons, Uri, Schwyz, and Unterwalden. The official languages are Swiss-German/French/Italian/Romansch. The motto of the country is "Unus pro omnibus, omnes pro uno" (One for all, all for one). The National holiday is August 1st. The currency is the Swiss Franc. Switzerland is neutral thus it does NOT belong to the EU but is part of the Schengen agreement which allows EU members to work and live in Switzerland.

The climate is all over the place in the last few years; Global Warming is not a hoax. Switzerland has barely four seasons anymore. It's either hot or cold and very little in between. As all Europeans, soccer is the most common sport and skiing in the winter.

The population is about 8.5 million, more than 3 million foreigners living in Switzerland, and I dare to say that it has somewhat become more xenophobic for that. Foodwise, it’s very regional, and there is not a Swiss cuisine. It’s all a mixture of German, Italian and French cuisine. Fondue, of course, is typical, and so is Raclette. I’m sure if I researched food more I would find it. The German part is the largest in area and population.

French is the second largest community, and Italian is third. Romanch is spoken only by about 1-2% of the population.

The best part of Switzerland is that it’s in central Europe, so getting anywhere is no big deal. Of course, we mustn't forget the watches and chocolates that Switzerland is famous for.
