Within a resume, you would want to explain practically what you have done throughout your life, such as academic e.g "Career objectives' and perhaps some social work you've done in your past. Like for example, if you are in a interview to work for a construction site, within the resume, you would put e.g "I've done concrete, I do drywall, ... etc" Which of-course, that is just an example, but, in cases like this, you would put career objectives within your resume.
