The gradients of perpendicular lines have a negative reciprocal gradient.

a) If A = 4, then the gradient of the line perpendicular to A would be -[tex] \frac{1}{4} [/tex]

b) If B = -3, then the gradient of the line perpendicular to B would be [tex] \frac{1}{3} [/tex]

c) If C = [tex] \frac{2}{3} [/tex], then the gradient of the line perpendicular to C would be - [tex] \frac{3}{2} [/tex]
